How Our Network Works
Who you talk to
You talk to an independent provider in our network. That is a local business that does septic or sewer work for a living. Beastben Septic makes the introduction. The provider does the job and gives you the quote.
What happens on the first conversation
Say you describe a gurgling basement drain and a damp spot outside. The provider will likely ask a few simple things:
- When did you first notice it?
- Is the home on a septic system or public sewer?
- How old is the house and its plumbing?
- When was the tank last pumped, if you know?
Older homes can hide past repairs, so any history you remember helps. A visit may follow so the provider can look at the problem in person.
Before you talk
A little prep makes the chat smoother. Jot down what you have seen and when it started. Note which drains act up and which ones work fine. If you have old paperwork about the tank or past repairs, set it nearby. Even a rough sketch of where the tank sits in the yard can save time.
What to ask a provider
A few questions can save trouble later:
- Is your quote in writing, and what does it include?
- Are you licensed and insured for this work in Pennsylvania?
- What caused the problem, in plain terms?
- Will you check nearby parts, like the baffles or drainfield?
- What habits or schedule should I follow after the repair?
That last question is the one many people forget. Keep it from returning by asking for a simple plan.
You are in control
A request does not lock you in. You can compare quotes, ask more questions or pause. Costs vary by job, so get a written quote before you agree to anything. If you want to check timing, Request a callback to check provider availability.
